In case you’re a fan of Jack Kerouac, but haven’t kept up with the information regarding the recently made film adaptation of his book “On the Road”  [which stars some pretty amazing talent, including: Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, Sam Riley, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Tom Sturridge, Steve Buscemi, Terrence Howard, etc.]

Joel Edgerton
Joel Edgerton

   Reports since May have had Edgerton (“Warrior”) attached to star the project, but insiders said at the time that he was merely the unofficial top choice, as the script was unfinished. By the time a script was done and casting began in October, it appeared that Edgerton’s schedule would clash with shooting;
  • he’d been mulling an offer to star in the “300” prequel.
    • But Edgerton passed on the Warner Bros. project, freeing him up to join the bin Laden pic cast that already includes Jason Clarke.
  • Story revolves around the Navy SEAL team that tracked and eventually killed bin Laden.
    • Boal and Bigelow, who collaborated on Oscar best picture winner “The Hurt Locker,” will produce along with Ellison, Greg Shapiro and Ted Schipper.
  • A number of roles are still open, including a female reporter embedded with the SEAL 6 team.
    • Rooney Mara had been eyed, but her “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” promotion schedule prevented it.

Edgerton’s has become a very popular option among Hollywood execs for high-profile pics in the last year. Prior to Lionsgate’s “Warrior,” he was being looked at for starring roles in Universal’s “The Bourne Legacy” and “Snow White and the Huntsman” before joining Warner Bros.’ “The Great Gatsby.”
I can’t wait. 😉

For those Fassy fans out there *raises hand* there is a tiny bit of a difference between Gina Carano & Michael in this 3rd trailer, anyone else probably wouldn’t really care but Fassy fans will rewind that part and that part only about 50 times in a row tonight.  Haha, enjoy! 😉

As I type this blog entry tonight, I am still sniffling/eyes are sore from crying my eyes out at this movie — I had watched parts of it when I was around my family, probably around the age of 5 or so, and then when i was 12/13 had been assigned to read it in my middle school English class [where we basically did an in-depth analysis of every line/that was the beginning of “annotations” for me in school] — and I think I had seen a couple of clips that were shown in class as we were going through the book, but since then…[please excuse this extremely LONG run-on sentence.] I hadn’t watched it…until now.

Wow, all of these feelings, all over my heart.  Definitely one of the best movies I have ever seen.  Up there with Gone with the Wind…anyways…trying to recover here.

God, that is a beautiful film, the kind of beautiful that can be happy, funny, sweet, and horribly heart wrenching/make you cry like a baby *ex:  me.*
Anyways, here are some things.  ❤
